The house is situated in the family plot adjacent to the parents & grandparents houses. The main requirement for the project was creating a sense of privacy for the young family – while retaining the familiar feeling and possibility to enter the house for the neighboring family members.
The design creates two porches – one public & connected to the family, the other more private and disconnected.
The façade is constructed as a 90 cm grid of wooden columns to create a structure a boundaries for the plaster cladding and the exterior positioned rolling shutters. The facade system acts as natural shading on most weather conditions. the rolling shutters allow for ultimate shading and privacy when needed.
